Any Bunny Need Ideas for Easter? from Made By Marney

Everywhere I go I’m seeing the cutest bunnies for Easter decorating. I found these at Walmart…cute and affordable.

For my front door, I made these moss bunny beauties from Dollar Tree items…

They were amazingly fun and easy to construct. I found this idea on Pinterest.

This is my fave paper pieced bunny block pattern… BUNNY WITH FLOWERS.

I’ve used this block in lots of projects. I love animals with flowers on their heads.

Here are some of my other bunny blocks…LOP EARED BUNNY

Here’s the same lop bunny with a bow… LOP BUNNY WITH ...

bunnies is a top from Making A Lather

I have finished my bunny quilt to the top stage. I think It is very cute and, coincidently, I am going to be a Grandmother again. I might be ahead on this one. Now, this quilt will be sent to the "to be quilted" closet, and, wait it's turn for the longarm.

hoping for a safe halloween for all the kiddos

friday group and bunnies from Making A Lather

One of my 5 quilts ufos is this little bunny quilt I started a few years ago. I opened the box, recently, and, discovered fabric and bunny blocks. At my Friday group, I used a jelly roll to make the solid sashing and a matching fat quarter bundle to make the squares sashing. I have the perfect border fabric for it in my stash. I wanted this for a baby quilt.

Judy surprised us with a finished boho heart top that is gorgeous. Now, I am the last one that needs to finish.

quilt and rug from Making A Lather

In may, I had all the bunnies fused to the blocks, except these two. I couldn't do these, because, they needed to overlap the borders. I wasn't sure about the borders, so, I left them for a bit in time out.
Now, I have all the bunnies fused, and stitched around, and bordered. The pattern, I am loosely following calls for 2 inch squares as sashing. I am not sure, what I want, yet. I need to let it percolate a little.

My rug hooking group has started meeting again at the library. My husband is a great ...

bunny blocks from Making A Lather

I have bunnies on my table. I haven't stitched them yet, but, they are all pressed. I have straight stitch machines set up in my sewing room, so, I will have to haul a zigzag machine to the dining room to actually stitch these.

I am looking forward to putting this quilt together. I started this quilt with a fabric and went from there. Usually, I start with a pattern and find the fabric for the quilt. It is fun challenging myself the other way. Although, quilting is always challenging myself : where did I lay the scissors, why am ...

bunny quilt from Making A Lather

This idea for a quilt started with the fabric. Going through a box in my sewing room, I found this cute bunny fabric, and wondered if I would ever use it. hmmm... I put it on my table and walked by it often, trying to think  - what should I do with an obvious one purpose piece of fabric. I didn't think it would blend in with other scraps very well. And I really don't want an Easter quilt. Should I donate it? Then  it clicked. I remembered a bunny quilt I had seen in quiltmaker magazine, that I ...

to do from Making A Lather

My hubby had surgery yesterday on his back. The surgery went well, but, he has had a few issues with his blood pressure and has made pain medications wonky.

His surgery was about 6 hours.
I had a waiting room all to myself.

I spent my time tracing bunnies for an Easter quilt.

I started to knit a scarf using yarn I spun myself.

Last week's to do:
1. bind sand castles - done
2. put Linda's quilt on the longarm - done
3. blog one monthly goal - done
4. make materials list for March workshop - done
